GEZE products in the middle of the rain forest

The Rainforest House, built in the hill garden of the Herrenhäuser Gardens in Hanover was opened in March 1999. On an area of 3200 m2 it displays the variety of flora and fauna in the tropical rain forest. The centre-point is a glass house, about 15 metres high, let into the ground. A suspended foil roof construction spans the glass house. This roof construction stretches over the ground in the form of a flat dome and thus fits harmoniously into the surrounding landscape of the hill garden.

The GEZE products  also fit harmoniously into the general image: automatic sliding door drives Slimdrive SL as well as hinged door drives TSA 160 and door closer variants TS 5000.

In the generously dimensioned entrance there is a café and an information centre. In the rainforest dome, rock faces, a waterfall and a spiral path leading upwards give the impression of a hilly region. By this means an unusual display form is created, which differs from constructions at ground level.
